Snow And Java

Dee is looking for the pin for her easy pass, and wants me to look other way :). Amr is teaching how to translate a flow chart to a Java program to a student. Beautiful snow is falling in an ecstatic rythym and I am enjoying nescafe with Tutku chocolate cookies. And you are exactly where you have been, always :)

Morning

I am sitting outside in the snow, its not much bit its soothing in pain. Hope I can go to bed soon. Also, I attended this lecture by this apparently good professor and here is what I noted, it has been 35 mins and he has done nothing, and he has said nothing useful. In the same time amount JK would have made 15 definitions, 8 remarks, 7 observations, 2 proofs, 10 examples plus he would have felt really sorry by making us bored by doing "nothing " Sometimes its good to go such random lectures to just remind you the quality of your favorite teacher.

New Year Resolution 2012

1. After having a small discussion with a friend last night, I started feeling guilty for downloading movies and songs online. I now believe that it is practically steeling. I won't do that again. 2. Considering my behavior and its effects on my time management, I have decided that I will not watch any movies and shows that I have watched before (its good bye from me south park!) . 3. I will have answer to at least one of the six big questions in my life, and it better not be 42 :) Not much, but I guess lets see what we have at the end of 2012.

Goodbye 2011!

At the end of each year, I do this balancing of sheets to see how have the year been for me. It is bit different this year, that I can't really conclude whether it has been a productive enough year or not. I do have the calculation of what I have lost in this year, but the value of what I have gained is not yet measurable.
It could be that at some later stage, I would call 2011 the best year of my life or it might just prove to be a waste of 364 days. In the running spirit of appreciating the intriguing complexity of life, lets call it a pleasant experience.
Its Shakeel's first married new year's eve. Baby is applying for MS in BI. Aman and Jami will witness the ball drop in times square in about 5 minutes from now, I guess. Amir says "Big party in philly. Fireworks display! Wish you were here.". And Dee is cooking dinner :)
And I am plundering all my underground holes for any left-out smidgens of energy --to do research --to keep going on with life. I feel weak, very weak.

And I have finally started realizing that if I do not the answer to 'the why', I will not know 'the how' to fix it. Shakeel is marrying in a week or so, and he says he is not nervous, because he is not like me. Any coloring of complete graph that assigns enough colors to each subset of graph, will produce a colorful spanning tree.

What would you think of a meeting in which participants stay silent for, well, like 95% of the time? Surprised you may be, usually turns out to be very interesting, it wasn't yesterday though.
