Somehow Keats will survive without you
Audrey did it bloody well, yet I still wonder how Mrs. Campbell would have performed it. I am not a student of it, but theater has lost some grace if you ask me.

Modest plainness sets off sprightly wit?
True Wit is Nature to advantage dress'd.
What oft was thought, but ne'er so well express'd;
Something whose truth convinced at sight we find,
That gives us back the image of our mind.
As shades more sweetly recommend the light,
So modest plainness sets off sprightly wit.

2 Cents from The Terminal :-)
Amelia: You know what Napoleon gave Josephine as a wedding present? It was a gold locket. And on the inside, he made an inscription, "Destiny". Destiny.-
Amelia: I have to go.
Viktor Navorski: I have to stay.
Amelia: Story of my life.
Viktor Navorski: Me too.

The First Subjectless Post
Probably I and Zero could be at peace, if only someone could stop the sound double-doors swinging every couple of minutes.

Dee is gone!
To truly understand a person, sincerity and wisdom ain't enough. You at least need one more ingredient called 'Perspective'.
If you are not where they are, then you can't see the picture the way they see it, and hence would fail to understand their reactions. And your conclusions about them would most likely be wrong.
You would see people say that they are understanding, and respectful of others views; they actually mean totally the opposite. To understand someone else, and to see it from their eyes, is not a choice that you make. Because to be where they are, they spent their whole life. And it takes exactly that: a whole life to reach there, to see it from their eyes, and to understand them. Sincerity and wisdom fall too short of it!
Goodbye friend. I, and Zero will miss you, a lot!

A not so random thought
They have lost someone who truly loved them, and yet they sleep like they have no care in the world. I lost someone who never loved me, and yet not a thing in the world seems to induce comfort...cheers to the peace in my heart and the sleep in my eyes.

An Other Thousand Nights?
Not today, not tomorrow, probably not in this month, but some day, she will chance to look out, and see the light coming out of this window. And she will say, "He is still there!". Isn't it enough excuse to be here, for an other thousand nights?

Our Cilantro
He says, "this Cilantro will raise his head, tear off the face of this earth, and stand tall and beautiful. And its fragrance will enchant the whole world. No matter how nascent and fragile it appearances be!"

Snow And Java
Dee is looking for the pin for her easy pass, and wants me to look other way :). Amr is teaching how to translate a flow chart to a Java program to a student. Beautiful snow is falling in an ecstatic rythym and I am enjoying nescafe with Tutku chocolate cookies.
And you are exactly where you have been, always :)

Morning
I am sitting outside in the snow, its not much bit its soothing in pain. Hope I can go to bed soon.
Also, I attended this lecture by this apparently good professor and here is what I noted,
it has been 35 mins and he has done nothing, and he has said nothing useful. In the same time amount JK would have made 15 definitions, 8 remarks, 7 observations, 2 proofs, 10 examples plus he would have felt really sorry by making us bored by doing "nothing "
Sometimes its good to go such random lectures to just remind you the quality of your favorite teacher.

New Year Resolution 2012
1. After having a small discussion with a friend last night, I started feeling guilty for downloading movies and songs online. I now believe that it is practically steeling. I won't do that again.
2. Considering my behavior and its effects on my time management, I have decided that I will not watch any movies and shows that I have watched before (its good bye from me south park!) .
3. I will have answer to at least one of the six big questions in my life, and it better not be 42 :)
Not much, but I guess lets see what we have at the end of 2012.

Goodbye 2011!
At the end of each year, I do this balancing of sheets to see how have the year been for me. It is bit different this year, that I can't really conclude whether it has been a productive enough year or not. I do have the calculation of what I have lost in this year, but the value of what I have gained is not yet measurable.
It could be that at some later stage, I would call 2011 the best year of my life or it might just prove to be a waste of 364 days. In the running spirit of appreciating the intriguing complexity of life, lets call it a pleasant experience.
Its Shakeel's first married new year's eve. Baby is applying for MS in BI. Aman and Jami will witness the ball drop in times square in about 5 minutes from now, I guess. Amir says "Big party in philly. Fireworks display! Wish you were here.". And Dee is cooking dinner :)
And I am plundering all my underground holes for any left-out smidgens of energy --to do research --to keep going on with life. I feel weak, very weak.
Happy new year Hayya :)

Daughter of the wolf
Today's champion showed me the Ottoman's hand,,,your eyes have round dark circles around them, your nose is like a mountain in a desert, your lips are so thin and yet you are pretty enough to survive in this world :)

Hayya Adnan, Tweedledee, why friends with ya?
Hayya is here: and he loves Her, says its the most amazing feelings ever; un-explainable. Tweedledee tells the story of Curious Oysters :)
And I have finally started realizing that if I do not the answer to 'the why', I will not know 'the how' to fix it. Shakeel is marrying in a week or so, and he says he is not nervous, because he is not like me. Any coloring of complete graph that assigns enough colors to each subset of graph, will produce a colorful spanning tree.

Pepsi Throwback
What would you think of a meeting in which participants stay silent for, well, like 95% of the time? Surprised you may be, usually turns out to be very interesting, it wasn't yesterday though.
If everything goes as planned, I am going for an "ice-cream" at 3pm today. Also its not Yasir, its Sharjeel who wakes so early in the morning each day; can you believe it?
answer the clicker questions. Oh boy, clicker questions! Thank you for being such a gentleman though :-)
Saito: Do not speak to me of rules. This is war. This is not a game of cricket!
They would use football or something else instead of cricket if they were to make this movie today; very unfortunate :(

And this way if we fall we can catch each other, no?
Pakistan plays Aussies this Friday for a position in final of third T-20 world cup. Shakeel passed his quals today and is taking us to Paradise and Asif is defending on 21st. "Can I just pray outside?"

Szegedy, Srilanka, Naproxen, Zubair, Ultimate truth
It is after-noon, I plan to leave for Friday prayer in twenty minutes, missing last to Fridays due to injury to me knee. Hill 206 is quite except for humming of the AC, and I am wasting my moments even though I know that I need to forward the review for a paper to Szegedy as soon as possible.
Pakistan lost their match against Srilanka in the first match of supper eights in T20 world cup. Shakeel is knocking off one of his teeth and needed my signature as witness :)
Last night I cooked Kashmiri Daal Chawal without his help; they are not that bad. Though I forgot to bring some with me when I left for office in the morning, and now I am wondering whether I will run back early or stay hungry longer because I don't plan to eat pizza any more, not at least that frequently.
Although Naproxen does not seem to be working so magically as I expected (and it seems that I will have to pay a visit to my doctor next week or the week after that), I do want to return to court by next Monday, and see if I can play a couple of squash games. And Khula says I am "day-dreaming"!
I could not read the paper, Zubair sent me about a month ago; lets hope I be done with Szegedy by end of the day and tomorrow I can send Zubair a review; he's got to be angry with me. I have started reading "A man who loved only numbers", and I think I am beginning to understand why mathematicians are "social aliens". I think it is the search of ultimate truth, the requirement of proof that keeps them at bay from a very ambiguous diplomatic society where very fragile lines between true and false drawn by views and not proofs; perhaps it is very difficult to endorse in a mathematical setting. I wonder what happens next; the whole world turns mathematical or need for proof vanishes as they promises for both. A surge to intelligent computers can ask for everything be in "well-defined", and Godel on the other proves that in a good enough system there are statements that true and yet can't be proved.
